Drumroll Please! Ipsy Fresh Picks

Here it is!
This is my very first beauty item review. This is just the kickoff! I have been writing like crazy to companies for samples and giveaways!
I have a huge one coming next week with some amazing products.
I got my first ipsy subscription bag this week and I was pleasantly surprised at the contents. I have seen many girls complaining on Instagram so I guess I didn’t hold high expectations. However, I will use four out of six items, including the bag it came in. I call that a win.
Before I go on let me tell you about my grading system. I love lip-gloss so much my ratings will be rated in Lip-Gloss points. Five lip-gloss points is POPPING and one lip-gloss point is PALE! In the words of Lil Mama, My lip gloss be poppin! You get the point now!

If you follow me on Instagram you saw me post the picture above before I tried any of the products. Well now we get to the low down on each product.
My favorite product in this month’s bag is the Eau Thermale Avene or Thermal Spring Water for us every day folk. It has many uses but the one I find it most useful for is the bikini area. I am always looking for something to soothe that area after I shave and this is the ONE that I will use from now on! Not only was it soothing but it helped minimize any bumps. This gets 5LGPs.

My second favorite item in this month’s bag is the Coola Hang Ten 50SPF sunscreen. Sunscreen is a MUST here in Arizona and I am always looking to stock up. The best thing about this one is it smells good. It does smell like sunscreen after it is on for a while but it is not overwhelming. Another great thing about Coola products is that they are made in the USA. Can’t beat that right? This gets 5LGPs.
Number three in my bag is the Pacifica eye shadow duo. The colors are something I would definitely wear. Side one is a deep purple/plum and side two is a sparkling white. This product is 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free and a portion of their proceeds go to support clean water. This company is worth checking out. I am not sure what the color actually is because it says Natural Beauty Duo #2. I give this 4LGPs.

I had no information about the fourth product because the packaging is very vague. It’s called Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer. I visited the website and found that it is supposed to heal while covering up your boo-boo, acne, tattoo, etc. The color that was given in this bag was too orange as you can see from the picture. I might use it but I am not sure when. I would have liked to see more information on the packaging. I give this 2LGPs.

The fifth and final item in this month’s bag is my least favorite for two reasons. I have oily hair and don’t need to add any additional oil and it doesn’t smell very good. In my opinion, lemon is best going into the belly and not on the head. Balanced Guru No Frizz Oil has nice packaging and presentation but the smell has to go. I didn’t even try because of the lemongrass smell. It is organic so if you want something natural this could be your product. I give it 1LGPs.
One last thing! I loved the bag included with the products. It is perfect for the summer!

  1. I have never done Ipsy, but good to know on all of these products. Love the sunscreen as we are definitely heading into summer days here in Arizona.
